Several people have been detained for providing terrorists with information regarding the whereabouts and activities of soldiers in and around Abuja.

According to PRNigeria, a security agency is holding the four informants.

Investigations into the July 5 night break-in at the Medium Security Custodial Center in Kuje led to their arrest.

Other recent incidents in Abuja, such as the ambush of Army forces, including the Presidential Guards Brigade, are also being investigated.

The suspects were apprehended in possession of walkie-talkies, a pistol, knives, amulets, and outdated data-less Chinese phones.

According to an intelligence official, they are being questioned to find out if they have any connections to terrorist organizations, bandits, or other groups.

"The combined security task force killed more than 70 armed criminals, despite the military's refusal to provide information on the attacks on Kuje Prison and forces at the Bwari and Zuma Rock axis."

The source revealed that "dangerous Kuje jail escapees and terrorists" were among those slain.

The intelligence operation about assaults on security personnel and formations is being coordinated by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).
