In Lokoja, Kogi State, a tipper killed a father of 30 children on Monday.

Stephen Dawulung, the state's Sector Commander for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), revealed this to reporters in Lokoja.

He said: "The tipper truck murdered the man, Abdulsalam Ibrahim, a 60-year-old commercial motorcycle rider, and his passenger at Ganaja Junction in Lokoja.

"The occurrence was regrettable and tragic. The driver and the tipper were missing by the time we reacted to the distress call and went to the scene, proving that it was a hit-and-run.

Eyewitnesses told us that the tipper driver sped off after the tragedy occurred, leaving the victims' mutilated remains on the road for onlookers to sympathize with.

The passenger's remains were kept in the Ankuri hospital morgue in Lokoja, while the man's were kept at the morgue of the Federal Medical Center in Lokoja.
