One kid was killed and a few others were hurt when an unfinished structure at the Boys Secondary School, Kaura Goje, in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State collapsed.

According to Varacity news, on Friday, August 5, a structure that had been vacant for more than six years fell after a downpour.

The school administration took the deceased, Mustapha Salisu, to the hospital along with the other victims, but it was later determined that he had passed away.

Hours after he bid her goodbye when he departed for school, according to his mother Binta Salisu, she learned the shocking news.

She remarked in tears, "He told me he was going to school, but a few hours later we got the news that the building had collapsed on him.

Ibrahim Sarki, an eye witness who helped rescue other victims, claimed they had voiced worries about the building's poor state prior to its collapse.
