The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Nasarawa's State Command has detained a suspect and confiscated 1,659 tonnes of Indian hemp worth N30 million.

The driver of a J5 Boxer with the registration number KTG 71 XC that was carrying Indian hemp was stopped and taken into custody, according to the state commander of the NDLEA, Mr. Peter Odaudu.

According to him, the driver was traveling from the Ogun State town of Ogere to the State of Bauchi.

He added that near the emir's palace in Lafia LGA, the command also confiscated 367.6 kd of Indian hemp and detained two suspects.
